Arca released today the music video for "Desafio," lifted off his self-titled third album, Arca. The Jesse Kanda-directed visual is gorgeous and reflects the frenzied, melancholic nature of his song. "Desafio" translates in Spanish to "challenge" or "defiance," and that's exactly what this video does: balks expectations of artists--especially male ones--by infusing decidedly dark, S&M-leaning imagery with an ambiguous queer narrative.
