Troye Sivan Collaborator Allie X Just Teased Tomorrow's Biggest Pop Hit

Allie X

Call 1-800-CLX2-M0B to hear an exclusive snippet.

Over the weekend, Canadian pop star Allie X posted to Instagram a mysterious date, February 23, which hinted at the arrival of new music coming this week. Today, the "Catch" singer added clarity to the ambiguity, announcing a 1-800 phone number you can call to hear an exclusive snippet of her new single--and it's major.

Called the CLXII Hotline, 1-800-CLX2-M0B immediately plays Allie X's glistening sophomore material, complete with plenty of whistling a la Hilary Duff's "Sparks" and bright, summery synths. "Come on watch my heart turn to pulp," reads her Instagram post, hinting at lyrics that contrast the song's optimistic sound.

Allie X, who co-wrote seven tracks on Troye Sivan's Blue Neighbourhood, including "Youth" and "Talk Me Down," has been working on the follow-up to her 2015 debut album, CollXtion I. To create her new material, the LA-based artist temporarily released demos online for her fans to hear and provide input on before eventually transforming those tracks into fully produced pop songs.

Since the release of CollXtion I, which featured criminally underrated singles like "Prime" and "Bitch," Allie X has shared "Old Habits Die Hard," and a music video for "All the Rage" with RuPaul's Drag Race winner Violet Chachki. As we wait for Allie X's new music this week, watch her star alongside Chachki, below.
