Of course, Miss Jepsen could be referring to a number of things: her new song on Charli XCX's new mixtape is one option. But that's only a feature on someone else's track. No, the Instagram story shows Carly in a photo by herself.
This has to be referring to Carly's forthcoming next album. We already know she's been working with the producer behind "Dancing On My Own," so we can confirm that whatever music is coming will be apocalyptically brilliant in nature. This year has seen Jepsen release a duet with Lil Yachty, a track for Target called "It Takes Two," and backup vocals on Bleachers' anthem "Hate That You Know Me So Well." And, of course, there's the masterpiece that is "Cut To The Feeling." You may not have remembered this song is actually off of the Leap! soundtrack, but it's far transcended its film roots to become one of the greatest songs of the year and a main reason we are able to continue getting up in the morning.
