Lower Dens Go Slow Covering Hall & Oats’ ‘Maneater’

Baltimore dream-rock/indie-pop darlings Lower Dens are riding high having recently released their third studio album, Escape from Evil, to critical acclaim. So it makes sense that they should have some fun on their victory lap.
In a recent live session for Sirius XMU, Jana Hunter and company, gave 1982 Hall & Oates' classic, "Maneater," a Lower Dens makeover.
Hunter sucked out the spirited, springy synths of the original and dialed down the tempo. The result is a hazy, ponderous near ballad. And we couldn't ask for anything more.
