Theron will play Kelly in a film written by The Big Short's Charles Randolph.
In a new film about the late, disgraced former CEO of Fox News, Roger Ailes, Charlize Theron will play journalist Megyn Kelly, Vulturereports.
Ailes stepped down as chairman and CEO of Fox News less than two years ago, following allegations from several female journalists and anchors at the network, including Kelly.

In her 2016 memoir Settle For More, Kelly details Ailes repeated harassment of her. Theron will star and produce the film, as-yet-untitled, from Annapurna Pictures.
The movie is written by Oscar winner Charles Randolph, who also worked on The Big Short, and directed by Jay Roach. Real-life Fox & Friends anchor Gretchen Carlson will also appear in the movie, as well as actor portrayals of Greta Van Susteren, Rupert Murdoch, and Bill O'Reilly.
