James Bond isn't the only role Idris Elba is reportedly up for: according to Deadline, the British hunk is in talks to star in the upcoming Cats movie as Macavity, the film's primarily villain, a criminal who antagonizes the Jellicle cats by kidnapping their leader, Old Deuteronomy. If Elba takes on the role, he'll join Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson, Ian McKellen, James Corden, Laurie Davidson, and Mette Towley -- what a cast! The adaptation of Andrew Llyod Webber's weirdest musical -- and that's saying something! -- is being directed by Tom Hooper (who directed the film version of Les Mis) and while we don't know much more about it, we cannot wait to see if this is a glorious mess or just glorious.
