Suddenly, Seymour is returning to the big screen.

On the eve of Hairspray's big comeback, it was announced that another timeless musical will see the light of day once again. Little Shop of Horrors is getting a remake with Greg Berlanti set to direct and Marc Platt to produce.

Little Shop was a 1960 cult horror film starring Jack Nicholson. In 1982, it was adapted into a Broadway show about a florist whose new creation comes to life, demanding to be fed human flesh. It became a movie musical in 1986, starring Rick Moranis and Steve Martin.

Fast forward 25 plus years, Berlanti and Platt make an ideal team, considering Platt is behind the new musical La La Land starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, and Berlanti produces the CW's DC superhero shows with actors like Broadway star Jeremy Jordan and Glee alums Melissa Benoist and Grant Gustin.

No release date has been announced.
