The perfumer to the kings launches its first grooming line

Penhaligon's has been the favorite perfumer of English notables since its creation in the 1870s. The official court barber and perfumer to Queen Victoria, Penhaligon's also counted Winston Churchill in its fanbase -- his favorite fragrance was Blenheim Bouquet. So when the brand launched its first-ever men's grooming line this fall, we couldn't help but wonder: What took so long?

The answer is simple: The grooming collection Bayolea revolves around one forgotten scent that was reformulated from the perfumer's olfactory archive. A classically-masculine blend of fresh citrus notes (lemongrass, tangerine, mandarin), invigorating spices (black pepper, cardamom), and earthy wood notes (cedarwood, sandalwood, patchouli), Bayolea is distinctive without being overpowering. In addition to the eau de toilette, the fragrance is offered in a range of bathroom cabinet essentials, including an elegant shave bowl, a soothing aftershave, a slick hair pomade, a deodorant stick, a hair and body wash, and even a moustache wax.
