Meet the Queer Women Competing on 'Survivor 44'

Survivor 44 is an incredibly inclusive season when it comes to race, sexual orientation, occupations, and backgrounds, and queer fans of the show couldn’t be happier about the number of LGBTQ+ contestants in this season.
Josh Wilder, Matthew Grinstead-Mayle, and Yamil ‘Yam Yam’ Arocho are the out LGBTQ+ men competing on Survivor 44. Alas, the show also features three queer women in season 44, making this cycle even more queer-inclusive than past seasons.

Carolyn Wiger
Carolyn Wiger is a 35-year-old drug counselor from Hugo, Minnesota. She really admires how Wentworth and Parvati competed on Survivor in past seasons, but she also wants to have as much fun as Tiffany on the show.
Claire Rafson
25-year-old Claire Rafson is a tech investor from Brooklyn, New York. Rafson has been dreaming about competing on Survivor since she was four years old, which makes this a huge achievement in her life. Some of her favorite past castaways include Michele Fitzgerald and Natalie Anderson.
Frannie Marin
From Cambridge, Massachusetts, Frannie Marin is 23 years old and works as a research coordinator. Marin identifies the most with Survivor alumni like Gabby, Aubry, and Maryanne.
