Avan Jogia is the name on everyone's lips.

The handsome actor is having quite a year as he picks up plenty of exciting projects. Jogia kicked off 2026 alongside Dove Cameron in the thrilling series 56 Days that featured plenty of viral sex scenes fans couldn't get enough of — and many are manifesting a second season to get gets green lit in the near future.

On the Prime Video series, Jogia portrays Oliver Kennedy, who becomes obsessed with Cameron's character, Ciara Wyse, as the two navigate a lustful and dangerous relationship that has jaws on the floor. The story begins with their meeting in a supermarket — and the mystery surrounding an unidentified body discovered weeks later in Oliver's apartment. It was a joy to make, says Jogia.

"I had so much fun shooting that show! It resonated with people and did very well. I've done a lot of romantic parts throughout my career. It's a lot of work to be on a shirtless show, but those scenes really elevate the story. I only do this for the challenge and I love something that pushes me out of my comfort zone," Jogia tells Out.

Beyond 56 Days, Jogia has played quite a few queer roles throughout his career, including Ulysses in Now Apocalypse and Nico in I Am Michael. The talented actor feels incredibly honored to tell powerful stories that have resonated with many in the LGBTQ+ community.

"As an actor, I was put here to make sure that I get to explore all parts of humanity," he says. "I'm so personally invested in the wellness of the queer community and the representation of the queer community. I'm personally invested in its wellbeing. It really warms me to be any sort of help or use. It's completely humbling and mind-blowing."

It's safe to say Jogia has come a very long way since his humble beginnings as teen heartthrob Beck on the hit Nickelodeon show Victorious. As one of the few actors of color cast on the sitcom, the star is grateful that his platform has impacted a wide range of fans who make up the spectrum of humanity.

"One of the victories in Victorious is being able to be seen by people who can see themselves on screen, especially as a brown man," he says. "There's brown kids who have resonated with me and it's really important. Seeing your identity matters. To this day, 12-year-olds are watching that show. Be someone's comfort show or childhood really is something. It is a true joy in my career and life to be a comfort to anyone targeted or repressed. It's something I will always champion."

Jogia has certainly evolved quite a bit over the years, so it only seems fitting that he'd be spotted at a recent Motorola event in Los Angeles. 2026 has been the year of nostalgia, and the model was happy to celebrate his growth as an artist by supporting the successful brand.

"I had the original Razor! The event itself was a throwback to the Y2K area, which was really fun to be a part of. I grew up with that phone and it's very cool to see it evolve, similar to how I have."
