Omar Apollo’s new song, “Spite,” is the horny sad boy springtime anthem that we needed.

“I know that you like it,” Omar Apollo sings in his new single, “Spite.” And mama, kudos for saying that. For spilling. We do like it very much.

“Spite” is Apollo’s first music release in 2024. According to different posts from the singer, this is seemingly the first single off of his upcoming sophomore album — and stakes couldn’t be higher for the singer to follow up his brilliant debut album Ivory.

In a new TikTok video, Apollo is seen going feral and humping a couch while listening to the song. He puts his whole back into these humping motions, and we’re just over here looking respectfully!

“SPITE TONIGHT,” he wrote in the caption, clearly unable to contain his excitement for the new song.

It’s still unclear what we can expect from this new era of Omar Apollo. His debut album, 2022’s Ivory, became a huge hit after songs like “Evergreen (You Didn’t Deserve Me at All)” became a TikTok trend. It was also a critically acclaimed piece of work that catapulted Apollo’s career to new heights.

Apollo released the titillating Live for Me EP in 2023 that gave us stunning songs like “Ice Slippin” and “Pilot.” Now, he’s giving us a full horny sad boy springtime anthem out of “Spite.” And if the rest of the album sounds anything like this, let’s just say that we’re also going to be doing some humping on couches in the near future.

Representation matters — and the horny, melancholic gays are feeling seen by Omar Apollo.
