Get ready for a fantastic, plastic night with Dua Lipa on the Barbie soundtrack!
The pop singer has teased her first song from the upcoming Barbie movie, “Dance the Night,” and we wish we were at a Barbie dance party right now!
“This Barbie has a song coming this week,” Lipa wrote on her Twitter when she shared a short video teasing her upcoming song from the most anticipated movie of the year: Barbie.
Lipa recreates Margot Robbie’s already iconic Barbie foot shot (where she steps out of her heels and her feet remain in the heel position) in the short video, before blowing a kiss to the camera. The 16-second clip just gives us a taste, teasing just a bit of the fun dancey disco song!
“This Barbie has a song coming this week… FRIDAY MIDNIGHT BST 💖
@barbiethealbum @barbiethemovie @barbie”— DUA LIPA (@DUA LIPA) 1684764582
The song will officially come out Friday at midnight and you know we will be playing it on repeat exactly then!
Lipa is one of many women playing Barbie in Barbie. Along with Robbie, there’s also Kate McKinnon, Alexandra Shipp, Hari Nef, Issa Rae, Sharon Rooney, Ana Cruz Kayne, Ritu Arya, Emma Mackey, and Nicola Coughlan as Barbie.
The movie also stars Ryan Gosling, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Simu Liu, Scott Evans, and Ncuti Gatwa as Ken, as well as Helen Mirren, Michael Cera, Emerald Fennell, Will Ferrell, America Ferrera, and Ariana Greenblatt.
While we have this song to listen to, we’ll have to wait all the way until July 21 to watch Barbie in theaters.Latest Stories
