Now THIS is what a power couple looks like!

Legendary athletes and couple Megan Rapinoe and Sue Bird will be appearing together in the upcoming 60th anniversary edition of Sports Illustrated's annual Swimsuit Issue!

The two icons appear on the fold out cover for the issue, posing in cream-colored power suits alongside a lineup of other Swimsuit Issue legends.

Both athletes have previously appeared in the Swimsuit Issue, with Bird posing in 2022 and Rapinoe appearing in both 2019 and 2023. This will be the first time they have appeared together.

"I'm sure there is, like, a meaning to this about us two being athletes, being gay athletes, being a couple, all these like sweet, wonderful, powerful things, that being in this anniversary issue is gonna, or Legends issue, say that over," Bird said in an interview about working with her wife on the issue. "There's something wonderful about being in the Legends issue for what it means, but honestly, I think it’s just great doing this with you for me personally. I know there’s like this outside meaning, but it’s meaningful."

According to Sports Illustrated, Rapinoe then asked Bird if she was going to cry, to which she replied, "I don't know, maybe. It's so cute. I love doing stuff with you."

"It's like having your best friend, like traveling around… we get to, being this wild part of life together," Rapinoe said. "We're both retired now. I just retired, so it's fun to be able to do these fun things together. Yeah, and have all these crazy laughs. Like having all of these incredible supermodels behind us being supermodels and us being down in front being like, what? Fake it 'til you make it."

Rapinoe and Bird aren't the only queer stars who will appear in the issue. Model Leyna Bloom, who in 2021 became the first trans model to cover the Swimsuit Issue, is also making her return to the magazine.

She appears on the cover, which celebrates many of the Swimsuit Issue's legends, including Bloom, Kate Upton, Tyra Banks, Christie Brinkley, Brooklyn Decker, Winnie Harlow, and Martha Stewart.

The 2024 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue hits newsstands on May 15.
