Joe Locke has quickly made a name for himself in Hollywood!
He first starred as a lovable gay high schooler in Heartstopper and then as a magical superhero in Agatha All Along, but now he may be slated to star in his boldest — and strangest — role yet.
Locke is rumored to be starring in the upcoming sci-fi horror movie Baby, which fans can’t stop talking about because of one taboo trope that is popular in gay fan fiction: mpreg (A.K.A. male pregnancy).
So far, there is very little information available about Baby, but according to the popular entertainment news account Film Crave on X (formerly Twitter), the upcoming movie stars Locke as “a young male sex worker who becomes pregnant with a mysterious creature.”
While Locke has yet to officially announce his involvement in the movie and the film isn’t listed under upcoming projects on his IMDB, he did make an oblique reference to Baby in his Instagram Stories today, where he posted a photo of himself holding a huge bouquet of flowers with the caption, “That’s a wrap BABY,” followed by an alien emoji.
Director Sam Max, known for his queer short films, lists Baby as his “forthcoming body horror feature debut,” produced by Luca Intili and Kindred Spirit, on his personal website.
Max has also posted photos from the film set on Instagram, including a disturbing image of an alien in a bathtub with a huge blood splatter on the wall.
There may not be much information available about the upcoming film, but that hasn’t stopped fans on social media from going wild thinking about one of their fave gay actors starring in a movie where he’s going to be impregnated by an alien.
