This brand-new Down Low trailer really does go all the way down!
In the first red band trailer for Sony Pictures Entertainment's upcoming comedy Down Low, Lukas Gage plays a masseuse who helps a repressed gay man (Zachary Quinto) by giving him a happy ending, which is his first sexual experience with another man. It opens up a whole new world, not all of which is good. But as this trailer shows, all of it will be wildly hilarious!
Sony Pictures Entertainment
“You’re the first guy I’ve ever been intimate with,” Quinto’s character Gary tells Gage in the trailer. “I had a wife, she left.”
“I really don’t know what to say, I mean words of affirmation is not my love language,” Gage’s character replies. “It’s more like (gagging noises).”
From there, Gage decides he’s going to help Gary explore what it means to be gay, which includes organizing a hookup from a Grindr-esque app. But when that hookup ends up dead, the two are in for a rollercoaster of party drugs, dark web cleaners, and sex.
“I am like human poppers,” Gage says in the trailer, “I open anyone up.”
“I am really glad I met you, even if multiple are dead because of it,” Quinto tells him.
Sony Pictures Entertainment
Down Low is described as “an outrageous comedy about one wild night, a deeply repressed man, the twink who gives him a happy ending, and all the lives they ruin along the way.”
In addition to Quinto and Gage, the film also stars Simon Rex, Audra McDonald, and Judith Light. What an amazing cast!
Written by Phoebe Fisher and Lukas Gage, and directed by Rightor Doyle, Down Low is available to buy or rent on digital October 10. Keep scrolling to see more first-look images from the film!
