Things are getting sexy Down Under in the first official teaser trailer for the upcoming rom-com Anyone But You, starring hotties Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria) and Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick).
“In the edgy comedy Anyone But You, Bea (Sydney Sweeney) and Ben (Glen Powell) look like the perfect couple, but after an amazing first date something happens that turns their fiery hot attraction ice cold - until they find themselves unexpectedly thrust together at a destination wedding in Australia,” the official description reads. “So they do what any two mature adults would do: pretend to be a couple.”
You may be asking, what does this have to do with being gay? Well, the destination wedding that Bea and Ben are pretending to be together at happens to be a lesbian wedding!
Bea and Ben’s sapphic friends are being played by Out cover star Alexandra Shipp (Barbie) and Hadley Robinson (Winning: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty). We don’t know exactly how much screen time they’ll get, but we are still sold!
The trailer is, admittedly, light on jokes for a romantic comedy, but it’s also definitely very heavy on hot people, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Anyone But You is written by Ilana Wolpert and Will Gluck and is directed by Gluck. It also stars GaTa, Michelle Hurd, Dermot Mulroney, Darren Barnet, and Rachel Griffiths. It releases exclusively in theaters December 22.
