Grammy-winning popstar Harry Styles will star as protagonist Tom Burgess in Amazon Studios' upcoming drama film My Policeman, alongside David Dawson (who plays a character named Patrick Hazlewood) and Emma Corrin (who plays Marion Taylor). Based on the novel of the same name, the film is directed by Michael Grandage (Genius) and will focus on how "the arrival of Patrick into Marion and Tom's home triggers the exploration of seismic events from 40 years previous."
For months now, pictures and reports have come out of My Policeman detailing Styles' approach to playing a gay character and what viewers can expect from his performance in the film. In a particular interview, Styles declared that his gay sex scenes on My Policeman would be "saucy."
Overall, this is Styles' fourth major acting stint. He first appeared in Christopher Nolan's war movie Dunkirk and then made a cameo as Eros in Marvel's Eternals. And before My Policeman's release, he is also set to co-star alongside Oscar-nominated Little Women actress Florence Pugh in Olivia Wilde's Don't Worry Darling, which hits theaters in September. Now, Amazon Studios has shared a couple of first-look images of My Policeman and revealed the movie's official release date.
Scroll through to see the first-look pictures of My Policeman, which will be released in select theaters on October 21 and will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video on November 4.
