Masters of Style

Although most of the actors in the cast of Showtime's Masters of Sexend up in their conservative skivvies (or less) at some point during an episode--that is, when they're not buttoned up in a doctor's lab coat--that doesn't mean there isn't plenty of period sophistication to relish when people are clothed. As we prepare for Season 2 when it premieres July 13, we decided to take a look back at a few fashion highlights. Although the ladies get most of the star costume treatment, here's five style lessons we think everyone can steal from the men of Masters.

1. Tweed Blazer (Say Yes to the Tweed)

It's all about color! Bring your look to life in one easy step by accenting your monochromatic outfit with a bright pop of color that will bring attention to the area that you want to flatter.

4. Textured tie and suspenders (Masters of Texture)

The subtleties are what make things special. Want to go for something new and different? Try opting for a different texture when purchasing bow ties, suspenders, blazers and suits to give your look an edge that will make you stand out from the crowd.

5. Monochromatic blue pastel button-up (Sweet and Simple)

Relive the '50s and keep things casual with a minimal and clean button-up. Material matters! Go for a silk shirt with a sheer, ethereal quality for a more fashion-forward look or opt for a simple cotton top for an easy outfit on-the-go.
