Heritage brand Haspel is credited for bringing seersucker stripes to America in the early 20th century. Since then, the New Orleans label "born out of necessity" in 1909 (its tagline) has dressed many a style icon: Gregory Peck in To Kill a Mockingbird and Cary Grant in Charade were both wearing Hapsel. Recently revamped with the input of Shipley & Halmos designers Sam Shipley and Jeff Halmos, Haspel is back on the radar this spring. The new collection screams southern ease and charm, staying true to its roots without trying to reinvent the past. The Shipley & Halmos boys have created an extremely stylish and wearable line of clothing, perfect for a day at the office or to party on the beach.
