The French label takes over Brooklyn
The French know how to best enjoy the finer things in life: wine, cheese, kissing, and, of course, clothing. Sandro's latest outpost in the States drives home that point, stocked up with winter wardrobe essentials.
The new concept store, largely dedicated to men, is the first of its kind in the US. It opened with a bang in Williamsburg last Thursday with a performance by NY band Cults and an art installation by Craig "KR" Costello.
Designer Ilan Chetrite's collections for the brand are fully represented on the racks, in a wash of neutral tones -- blacks, whites, and blues mostly -- and streamlined slim cuts. Timeless blazers find themselves layered atop turtlenecks and hung next to warm, knit sweaters.
A standout was the outerwear interspersed through the store: From hoodies and trench coats to varsity jackets and motorcycle jackets, almost exclusively in black, the boutique has everything one may need to layer up this season.
