The designer leaves his eponymous clothing label.
Menswear designer Simon Spurr is no longer at the helm of the brand he helped establish in 2006 with co-founder Judd Nydes. WWD is reporting that Spurr, who was nominated for Menswear Designer of the Year by the CFDA last week, left the company on Friday. Details are scarce at this point, but this is an unexpected turn of events in a season where the one consistent trend on the runways is the reshuffling of designers. Spurr, who constults on Tommy Hilfiger's menswear, told WWD via email: "At this moment, I'm not at liberty to say anything about what's gone on."
