Red is undoubtedly one of the main colors of the holiday season here in the U.S. But year-round it's the cover of passion, love, lust, and even anger. It's thought of as bold, for the most part, and given all of these thoughts, when used for skimpy, little under-things, it can be incredibly sexy. This all brings us to Charlie by Matthew Zink's latest collection.
Launched this weekend, the 13 piece range is called the "Rouge Series." Presented all in red -- on a ginger model, no less -- it encompasses a selection of jockstraps, thongs, briefs, and even a suspender belt. Before you ask, we are also looking for the red stockings that are styled with one look, though there's something similar here.
"The idea was simple...create the perfect red underwear collection," Zink tells Out in an email. "Et Voila - The Charlie Rouge Series. Red lingerie has long been an iconic and daring choice, and our new Rouge Series lives up to it's past."
The collection incorporates red lace for lingerie vibes -- although we've all been told that jockstraps are gay men's lingerie as is -- and designs are relatively understated, as is the Charlie habit. Prices range from $52 for items like the muscle thong, classic brief, and more, up to $98 for the suspender belt. Lace products are $68 and feature a double layer front pouch, so they aren't see-through.
The range joins others like the Wood Series, Recruit Series, Mustang Series, Noir Series, Denim Series, and Animal Series.
