Today is the first Monday in May, and you know what that means: it's Met Gala time, baby. Tonight is arguably the biggest of the year for fashion, and to celebrate, we're looking back at ten of our favorite extraordinary looks from the past ten years. Naturally, we'd be sinners if we didn't begin with the biggest Met Gala outfit ever: Rihanna in Guo Pei in 2015.

We loved this Janelle Monae moment, a departure from some of her more structured previous looks for a cloudy Ralph Russo fantasy. She whisked us away to another time for 2017's ball honoring Commes Des Garcons designer Rei Kawakubo.

Zendaya's dress isn't necessarily shocking for any sort of weirdness, but it is breathtaking as a truly perfect outfit. The hair, the colors, the train, the composed smirk... it is literal red carpet perfection, and we're living for it. Thought D&G are definitely cancelled.

The theme was "China: Through The Looking Glass." While it wasn't the most obvious choice for that premise, Beyonce's Givenchy from 2015 drew a gasp from the world, and found its way into the lyrics of "Formation." We will scream forever.

Her side butt action in Versace that year changed the history of sex forever. No one before or since has been able to pull off these cutouts in quite the same way. We just fainted.

There is nothing more classic, bold, and glittering than Lupita in a flapper-inspired Prada mini at the Met Gala 2014 honoring Charles James. We need need need this look for summer barbeque season!

This subdued, elegant number would only be elevated to such magnificence on Campbell, who makes the feathers seem effortless and the cutouts so obvious. We will scream until the end of time please.

Rihanna is the real queen of the Met Gala because she takes the themes seriously--she's one of the few to actually wear CDG in 2017 to honor Rei Kawakubo, and her yellow gown was made by Chinese designer Guo Pei to coincide with that year's theme as well.

A Met Gala legend, Sarah Jessica Parker has plenty of amazing looks to choose from. We went with her 2013 "Punk: Chaos to Couture" look, a Giles Deacon gown with a Phillip Treacy headpiece and Louboutin boots.

Solange stunned in a weird, circular Giles dress in 2015 for "China: Through the Looking Glass." It's a very Gaga move and we appreciate it.
