Almost 25 years since her mother appeared in this iconic fragrance ad for Chanel, Lily-Rose Depp, daughter of Johnny and French singer-actress Vanessa Paradis, is coming into her own as the new face of Chanel's latest scent, No. 5 L'Eau.
The fragrance is a younger, lighter version of Chanel's best-selling perfume, which Marilyn Monroe famously worn sans rien. Back in 1992, Lily-Rose's mom, Vanessa, was tapped by the brand to star as a caged songbird in a Jean Paul Goude-directed campaign, for the Coco fragrance.
Now, her daughter is following a similar path as the new Chanel muse, starring in an eye-popping commercial for L'Eau. Depp looks stunning in the ad, which expresses her dual personality. Alongside young Hollywood starlet Willow Smith (also a recent brand ambassador,) she heralds a new era for Chanel.
