Michael Cook takes an exclusive look at the new 2014 Tommy Hilfiger Fall Collection
Tommy Hilfiger is taking us into fall with class and style as suiting and sportswear meet in perfect symbiosis. Whether you're dressing for the office, a night on the town, or a hike in the mountains, you've got plenty of options from one of our favorite menswear brands.
Modern mixed with traditional Savile Row tailoring creates an extremely wearable collection--keeping you refined and relaxed. The entire fall/winter collection embraces the fusion between British classics and the American prep we have come to love from Tommy Hilfiger. In fact, some of the tailoring collection was created with Moon, the historic British wool mill.
For the classic tailoring options, Tommy has based the collection in traditional blues and grays that match up with ease to your current closet collection. From there a smattering of deep reds, oranges and rust bring out the feelings of late fall.
The closely related sportswear line continues to use beautiful elements inspired by classic British tailoring, mixing in more-casual elements like fisherman sweaters, flannel shirt jackets, and lightweight polos in various pops of color. Several more sporty elements are added into the collection, including nylon puffer vests.
Tommy Hilfiger has us wishing for cooler days and snowy nights. Its take on American sportswear with a twist continues to shine this fall and winter--adding classics to your wardrobe that are steeped in tradition and will be a part of your closet for years to come.
