An LGBTQ+ business and entertainment conference is holding its first in-person event after a virtual launch during the pandemic!
Launched by founder Wesley Smoot, Unleashed LGBTQ will be held in Dallas, Texas on September 22-24, 2023, bringing together LGBTQ+ professionals for several days of panels, workshops, performances, and keynotes around the LGBTQ+ market, according to a news release.
"This trailblazing event will bring LGBTQ+ professionals from across the country to connect in a fun and interactive environment with top talent, brands, and industry leaders across business, entertainment, fashion, travel, and technology sectors," the release said.
Already being hailed as a āgay SXSWā by Pink Mediaās Matt Skallerud, Unleashed LGBTQ originally launched online during the pandemic. Now, itāll take place at Gilleyās Dallas, a 92,000-square-foot venue with views of the Dallas skyline, as well as Cedars Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.
Speakers and entertainers for the September conference will be made available in the coming months. Previous speakers include comedian Matteo Lane, Drag Race alum Carmen Carrera, the NFL's first out gay draftee Michael Sam, and activist Celia Sandhya Daniels.
Unleashed LGBTQ is currently accepting applications for speakers, panelists, and project premiers.
