Amazon Studios Releases 13 New TV Pilots

Amazon Studios is on a role. Transparent took home two Golden Globes on Sunday; the controversial Woody Allen signed on to create, write and direct his first television series; and today, 13 new pilots were released for viewers to watch and provide feedback.

"The site feedback is definitely very important to the decision, and frames the conversation around which shows to pick up," Amazon Studios director Roy Price told Quartz.

Considering Transparent was one of the chosen pilots last year and is now widely considered one of the best shows of today, the stakes are high for the 13 new pilots.

Six of the pilots are kid's shows, and the other seven vary in genre, from serious historical period pieces to half-hour comedies. A host of stars grace the Amazon screen, including Steve Zahn, Billy Zane, Alan Cumming, Rachel Dratch, among others.
