'I'm Not The Only One' Michael Sam Says of Gay NFL Players
1. In his first interview since being cut from the St. Louis Rams and Dallas Cowboys, Michael Sam spoke with Oprah about being gay in the NFL. Sam said since coming out, he's been contacted by a number of closeted players. "There's a lot of us out there," he went on to say. "I'm not the only one. I'm just the only one who's open." (Huffington Post OWN)
2. The FDA has announced that it is lifting the lifetime ban on gay men donating blood, instead adopting a policy that allows men who have been celibate for a year to donate. Reactions have obviously been mixed, as men with active -- even monogamous and protected -- sex lives are still prohibited from giving. (New York Times)
3. Ellen Page stepped into the iconic role of Han Solo at a star-studded live reading of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back at the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles. The night's curator (and Juno director) Jason Reitman said, "In casting Han, the most important thing is: Who has the most interesting, ironic approach to life? And when I think of that, I think of Ellen Page." And according to those in attendence, her romance with Princess Leia (played by Jessica Alba) was spot on. (BuzzFeed)
4. John Waters is returning to his classic, Pink Flamingo, except this time it's for kids! "Kiddie Flamingo" will, apparently, ditch the x-rated content, yet it's still being described as "more perverse than the original." (Indiewire)
5. The upcoming Whitney Houston biopic will address the late singer's alleged lesbian affair. (PinkNews)
6. Mic's Elizabeth Plank asked men to draw vaginas from memory. And the results are as hilarious as you'd expect.
