The Walking Dead’s Daryl Dixon Is Straight

The Walking Dead’s Daryl Dixon Is Straight

...And five other things you should know today.

1. It's confirmed: Daryl Dixon is straight. Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman mentioned on The Talking Dead Sunday night that, while he and the network thougt about it and were fine with making the show's resident badass gay, that's ultimately not the direction that they decided to go. He went on to say, however, that fans can look forward to a gay character in the next half of the season: "I can make it official, Daryl Dixon is actually straight, but coming back in our next half of the season we are gonna be introducing a very prominent gay character from the comics that'll be debuting." [Huffington Post]

2. House of Cards season 3 is set to premiere on Feb. 27, 2015. Netflix announced over Twitter today in a special message stating "from the White House." We wonder if that time actor Kevin Spacey allegedly groped a male model will hurt (or help) his campaign. [EW]

3. Idina Menzel accidentally sparked rumors of a Frozen sequel over the weekend during an interview. She was quoted as saying a sequel was in the works and that she would be involved, but she has since come back to say that she doesn't know if a sequel is actually being made and was simply stating her willingness to be involved should one reach development. [THR]

4. Madonna's son has an internship. Madge was chatting with illusionist David Blaine in an interview when she said that 14-year-old Rocco Ritchie is working with street artist JR. [Interview]

5. Chris Rock says Tim Cook's coming out had a much bigger impact than football player Michael Sam's. That's partly because the comedian says that corporate guys are "the epitome of a boys' club." [Vulture]

6. This isn't the trailer you're looking for. A new video from YouTuber timtimfed shows us what the new Star Wars trailer would look like if George Lucas were to turn it into a special edition:
