The Most Exciting Two Minutes In Sports just got a whole lot gayer. NBC has added Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski to the roster for their Kentucky Derby telecast. The figure skaters, who worked together before as commentators for NBC's telecast of the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games, will be NBC's fashion correspondents at the race.
Though it may seem a bit out of left field, the New York Post notes neither Weir nor Lipinski is a stranger to horse racing. Lipinski rode horses when she was younger and Weir used to compete in equestrian events. Weir, clad in a fur-covered sombrero, attended the Derby as a fan in 2010 and won some money by betting on the winning horse, Super Saver. The Kentucky Derby, the first race in the Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing, kicks off May 3.
