Russell Tovey: I Look Like "A Little Pale Street Urchin"
In a new interview with The New York Times, the adorably handsome Russell Tovey admits he has some hangups about his own body. When asked about whether his new role on Looking would elevate his status of a sex symbol, he responded by saying that he's "a little pale street urchin:"
I've got ratty curly hair. I've got sticky-out ears. I've got a little troll nose. I'm like a little pale street urchin. I'm lucky that I've sort of aged well into my face. I don't think people are repelled by me. But one never sees how other people see you in a mirror at all -- ever.
While we have to disagree about the urchin part, we do think he's grown up quite handsomely. With new roles in the upcoming HBO series and the play, The Pass, about a footballer questioning his sexuality (see below), he's shedding the boyish image of his previous roles that made him famous.
How's that for sexy?
Meanwhile, Tovey has been quite the quotable celeb on his recent press tour. In another interview, the actor commented on Tom Daley's coming out and what it's like kissing straight male actors.
