A certain lucky gentleman is now zero degrees of separation from Kevin Bacon. As in, he made out with him. As in, all of the fantasies you had after seeing Bacon go gay in the series finale of Will & Grace have finally come true!

At a recent press conference for The Following, an upcoming Fox drama, Bacon and costar James Purefoy (Rome) began making out for the cameras after a critic in the audience commented on their on-screen chemistry. Apparently, the hot-and-bothered critic had said she was so floored by the two gents' cinematic repartee that she wanted them to just start kissing on screen.

Purefoy-out-cover-2006Well, considering the fact that Purefoy's character is a sociopathic serial killer and Bacon's character hates his guts -- oh, and the fact that both characters are supposedly straight -- the critic's comment was off-color and a teensy bit pervy. (Read: It was a lame attempt at a joke.) But still, thanks for giving these guys the idea, lady! The boys immediately swapped spit on stage, only pausing to take a breath and look lovingly into each others' eyes. We think. We may have imagined that part.

In any case, Purefoy admitted later that the kiss was "bristly for [his] liking," but that he was "alright." Um, are you seriously going to whine about your kiss with Kevin, dude? Just accept it as the gift from heaven that it is and move on with your life.

Also, did you forget about the interview you did for us six years ago, Mr. Purefoy? Judging by the following quote, you may have enjoyed your Kevin kiss a little more than you let on:

"Never say never. You'd be a fool and an unwise man to say never. I haven't as yet had a gay relationship-- not since school anyway -- but I never say never. That would just be foolish. I know lots of people who've been straight and turned gay; I know lots of people who've been gay and turned straight. I think the more of a big deal we make out of that stuff, the harder it is for people to act how their heart wants to act."

OK! We're not going to argue with that.
