Want an easy to way to listen to the XX's new album, Coexist? NPR has a stream available here. As Stephen Thomspon writes for NPR, the album "feels experimental in its minimalism; in 'Reunion,' the distant, vaguely otherworldly pinging of a steel drum jumps out as if it were a Neil Peart solo. Even in Coexist's most percussion-intensive moments ('Swept Away,' 'Sunset'), the beat often sounds as if it's drifting in from space."
As we stated earlier this summer, singer-guitarist Romy Madley Croft's "phrasing is hypnotically cool but still seasoned and soulful, like Adele dialed down from 11 to 1."
