The up fronts are here! The up fronts are here! That's TV parlance for networks showing off the latest shows they've been cooking up, just for our enjoyment...hooray! For NBC, that means a strong push for the gay contingency with their show The New Normal, which follows the story of a boy-boy couple looking to have a child, the peppy, doe-eyed surrogate they enlist to help, and the resulting familial tornado that comes with it (including a bitchy, barb-tossing Ellen Barkin...score!)
