In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Elton John leaks a few details regarding some future projects. We learn that the Rocket Man is going into a recording studio in January to score new lyrics by Bernie Taupin. He also dishes a little bit about an upcoming biopic, which, honestly, we're hoping is just the sequel to Velvet Goldmine.
But who will play John?
"I don't know," says the singer. "I've got a wish list of people. No. 1 on my wish list is Justin Timberlake, because he played me before in a David LaChapelle video of 'Rocket Man' and was superb."
Timberlake actually seems like a smart choice, given his film-pop crossover appeal. That, and he also played John in the 2002 video for "This Train Don't Stop Here Anymore." See the resemblance?
