Glamberts Shell Out for Advocate Cover

By continuing to use our site, you agree to our Private Policy and Terms of Use.
We've known Adam Lambert has coverboy potential since his June 2009 Rolling Stone debut, but this month's issue of The Advocate has sent fans to new levels of mania. The November issue, which features Lambert with purple-black hair, trademark eyeliner and flawless skin (is it MAC, or Photoshop?) is selling for $20 an issue on the streets of Chelsea, and has reached even higher prices on eBay.
Rich, a man who hung posters throughout Chelsea on Monday offering to pay $20 for the magazine, has gotten plenty of offers, and just as many homophobic phone calls. In an interview with DNAinfo.com, he clarifies that he is "definitely not an Adam Lambert fan," but is collecting the issues for a family friend who is part of a clutch of Glamberts in Japan. So far, bids for a single issue on eBay have climbed to $61, with a Buy-It-Now option of $150.
Since The Advocate (Out's sister publication) is a subscription-only magazine, Glamberts may have to go to great lengths to secure their copies. All the more reason to get yourselves a subscription--did we mention you can get Out and The Advocate delivered to your door all year for a paltry $25? Consider it mentioned.
