Fall TV is officially here. While GLAAD's annual "Where We Are On TV" report for the 2011-2012 season estimates that LGBT representation on the five major broadcast networks is slightly down from last year, with only 2.9% of all scripted series regular characters being identified as LGBT, there are networks still capitalizing on the gay zeitgeist.
Of the five major channels, ABC wins in the "Lead Characters-Broadcast" category, with Mitchell Pritchett and Cameron Tucker from Modern Family, Max Blum from Happy Endings, and Grey's Anatomy's Callie Torres. HBO surprisingly has no gay leads this season.
Fox leads the way in "Supporting Characters- Broadcast" with eight characters, versus just two for both NBC and ABC, and only one for CBS and the CW.
See the full report and check out how the rest of the networks stack up, at GLAAD's site.
