If there's one thing the American TV-watching public seems to love, it's reality series about people making pastries. We've sampled Ace of Cakes, we've nibbled at Little Chocolatiers, we've devoured Top Chef: Just Desserts, and now, just in case our sweet tooth is still aching (and it usually is), there's WE tv's Staten Island Cakes. The new series follows 21-year-old gay cake shop owner Vinny Buzzetta and his fun-loving staff as they endeavor to give the good people of Staten Island the cakes of their dreams.
We caught up with Vinny a few weeks ago to chat about his reality television debut and what sets him apart from the rest of the pastry world:
Staten Island Cakes airs Tuesday nights at 9pm ET on WE tv. For more info on Vinny and the series, head to the show's official website.
