We can hardly believe it's been 25 years since Madonna and Rosanna Arquette got mistaken for one another (really?) in the '80s screwball comedy Desperately Seeking Susan. But it sure has. And 25 years later, despite Madonna's Oscar-baiting role as Evita in the '90s (in which she played -- of all things -- a diva), Madonna's performance as Susan remains her best.
The Walter Reade theater at Lincoln Center (filmlinc.com) screens the classic New York movie on September 23. The 7:30pm screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring "special guests." Obvs, we're not expecting Madge to show, but our fingers are crossed in anticipation of the still-a-hottie Aidan Quinn.
