Actor Corey Haim passed away yesterday at the age of 38. The actor, best known for starring in '80s hits like License To Drive, Lucas, The Lost Boys, was recently suffering from flu-like symptoms but the cause of his death is still unknown.
Haim was one of my biggest crushes when I was a kid and my clearest memory of my obsession is tearing a picture of him out of a Teen Beat magazine and bringing it to my stylist (I use the term loosely -- Racine, Wisconsin, in 1988 wasn't exactly the style capital of America) so that she could give me his haircut. She looked at the picture, looked at me, shook her violently frosted head and said, "You'd need a perm -- and I don't perm 10-year-olds."
See you on the other side, Corey.
