M.C. Escher, your shoe has arrived. Starting this June, Pierre Hardy's Limited Edition #4 -- so called because only 500 pairs were produced -- will be available in boutiques around the world. The graphic, dubbed 'perspective cubes,' comes from the first printed leather of the maison Pierre Hardy and is described as an "imaginary journey... precious like a Byzantine Church in Venice and geometric like the Op'Art paintings of Vasarely. The Limited Edition #4 is a set staged in a 2/D 3/D hypnotic." Right.
EUR325 or $450, Pierre Hardy Stores, Paris.
Other locations, London: Dover Street Market; Munich: Pool; Singapore: Club 21; Seoul: Corso Como; Athens: Freeshop; New York: Barney's; Hong Kong: On Pedder; Japan: Isetan; Copenhagen: Storm; Florence: Luisa Via Roma.
