Swedish skinny jean mavens Cheap Monday are setting up shop stateside on Monday, but only for a limited time. The brand is bringing exactly 50 pairs of one-of-a-kind distressed unisex jeans that will retail at SoHo boutique, Inven.Tory, as long as supplies last. "The customized denim has undergone sandpapering, punching, patching, sewing and various other destructive treatments and washing," says Elle. Meaning, each pair has been painstakingly worn in so that all of the work of achieving spring's dominating denim trend--that of perfectly distressed jeans--has been done for you.
Â
The stop is one of a handful on Cheap Monday's distressed denim world tour, which started in the brand's hometown of Stockholm and has since hit Copenhagen, Berlin and London (each of which Cheap Monday visited with exactly 50 one-of-a-kind jeans in tow). Considering the limited edition wares slated to hit Inven.Tory, #201-250, will retail at the same price point as Cheap Monday's ubiquitous skinny jeans ($70), the custom denim is decidedly a steal.
