Sam Smith has turned 2014 into the Summer of Sam. His debut LP broke records both in his native UK and stateside and he's already found favor with R&B's reigning Queen, Mary J. Blige. Now Smith is releasing "I'm Not The Only One," a cut off of In the Lonely Hour, as his next single.
Keeping with the overarching theme of the album, the piano-driven track deals with a love that's more perhaps painful than it's worth. Rather than be an anthem of unrequited love, "I'm Not The Only One" is about not being the only object of a lover's affection.
The track is due out in the UK August 31 and will probably be out in the U.S. later this year.
In The Lonely Hour is out now on Capitol Records.
