Daft Punk's comeback single featuring Pharrell Williams has been wildly popular since it first being teased during an episode of Saturday Night Light. It has garnered both critical acclaim and commercial success, landing the group at the top of the charts around the world. And it's also received its first cover, one so good that it challenges the original.
An English folk band, Daughter, is giving the electronic French duo a run for their money with a beautifully hypnotic take on the track that finds lead singer Elena Tonra replace Pharrell's giddy vocals and the band stripping the song of its bouncy vibe, and with surprising results.
Those with sharp ears may have heard the band on the television shows The Vampire Diaries, Grey's Anatomy or Skins. Their debut album, If You Leave, is out now.
