Yes, yes, and yes.

In case you haven't heard, DC is on the hunt for a new Superman after reports that Henry Cavil will no longer play the Man of Steel. While such a vacancy in Hollywood is sure to draw the interest of every hunky actor on the planet, Colton Haynes has already picked whose corner he'll be in: Matt Bomer's.

The Teen Wolf and Arrow alum took to Twitter recently to nominate Bomer. "Wouldn't it be really incredible to see an out gay actor cast as Superman?" Haynes asked. "Matt Bomer has my vote!"

Bomer is definitely qualified, having already flaunted how well he pulls off the Clark Kent vibe a la White Collar, and his Magic Mike credentials should be more than adequate when it comes to his, ahem, body of work.Matt Bomer, Superman, Colton Haynes, Henry Cavil, Magic Mike

Hayne's suggestion comes shortly after Kit Harington called out the problematic state of queer actors and protagonists in super hero films. "There's a big problem with masculinity and homosexuality that they can't somehow go hand in hand," he said to Variety. "That we can't have someone in a Marvel movie who's gay in real life and plays some superhero. I mean, when is that gonna happen?"

The Son of Krypton's iconic blue and red tights are being turned in by Cavil after reports of talks breaking down amid scheduling conflicts preventing him from making cameo appearances in upcoming DC projects like Shazam!

If chosen, this wouldn't be Bomer's first time getting cozy with Kal El. A few years ago the actor revealed that he was briefly attached to the Superman project that became 2006's Superman Returns.
