The Elusive Chanteuse is at it again. Just days after finishing her Las Vegas residency, Mariah Carey is ready to release new music and she spared no drama when announcing the upcoming song.
“How bout you…” Carey wrote on Twitter on Monday, causing her fans to hold their breath for two days before finishing the statement with a “GTFO.”

Dropping tomorrow at 8am, “GTFO” will be the icon’s first single since last year’s “I Don’t” with YG, and fans can only hope that this could be the first tease to a new album. Last month Carey told People that she’s been working on new music for “a while” and called the effort “a labor of love.”
Elated, Carey said: “This is me at this moment in my life being able to express myself as a writer and a singer. I’m just really in good place.” Ever the diva, Carey elaborated that her music would fit into contemporary styles and sound “current,” but it wouldn’t look to “anybody else’s trends” because “my fans just want to hear me express myself and speak from the heart and sing from the heart.” Apparently, her heart is saying “GTFO.”
