This Is the Non-Traditional Gay Male Body Shape, According to Dave Holmes

David Holmes

“Gain 15 pounds and no one will know you’re gay,” he says about his TV career.

If you're looking for a real laugh, truTV's Talk Show the Game Show, the hybrid comedy series from comedian Guy Branum and Wanda Sykes--is just what you need. While every episode will have you screaming, tonight's episode is one not to miss.

Dave Holmes joins the show today to talk about being a gay male in TV and how his "non-traditional gay male body shape" often left him ignored.

To give you a little sneak peek at what Dave's talking about, we secured an exclusive clip of the episode. In it, he talks about how he publicly came out of the closet post-MTV days (in a 2002 interview with Out), and during, while he was out, he didn't fully acknowledge--even though he brought male dates around--because he was basically ignored anyway due to his "non-traditional gale male body shape." He goes on to say, "anyone that's having issues about not wanting people to find out their gay, gain 15 pounds, and no one will know."

Watch the clip below--and remember, we come in all shapes and sizes, so embrace it.

Tune in tonight at 11 p.m. ET/PT on truTV.
