George Zimmer, the "you're gonna like the way you look" guy, has put a spin on the traditional firsts of the New Year with his announcement of a contest to find the "First Couple of 2016" to commemorate the launch of Generation Tux, his new Tuxedo company.

"Every January 1, we find out about the 'first baby' of the year; this year, we are setting out to make a new tradition by celebrating the 'first couple to be wed in Times Square as the New Year begins," said Zimmer in a release. "At Generation Tux, we believe in the power and magic of life's special moments - like New Year's Eve and weddings - so we are bringing that magic to Times Square as we search for the most romantic couple in America to ring in 2016 as the official First Couple."

Couples have until November 1 to enter the contest by submitting a 60-second video explaining why they deserve to be wed in New York City's Times Square on New Year's Eve with millions of people watching. The field will be whittled down to two finalist couples that America will vote on to see who will win a one-of-a-kind wedding.

According to the contest rules, both finalist couples will get to be part of the New Year's Eve festivities in Times Square, with the winning couple being announced before the ball drops. Make sure to recall your most heart-warming memories and romantic stories when you submit your video to make sure you can ring in 2016 with the person you love most and just a few million close friends in Times Square.
