Today, millions will "go purple" to stand against bullying and to show their support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth. In this new video, featuring athlete Michael Sam and Vito Cammisano (the former couple who remain friends), the two explain why they both personally support #SpiritDay.
As Michael Sam says: " I support spirit day because it is very important. As some one who was once bullied, I think its very important we tackle this issue."
Vito Cammisano says: "I support spirit day because I was bullied in middle school a lot and I never want any young person to feel like they can not be comfortable being who they are."
