Gottmik is in trouble with the law.
Prior to making comments on the future of drag at Revry's King of Drag premiere in West Hollywood last weekend, TMZ is now reporting that the Drag Race finalist was arrested for DUI.
The news site claims that law enforcement was contacted around 4:50 PM on Wednesday, Sept. 16. Burbank Police officers responded to a traffic collision that involved a black Porsche and multiple parked vehicles. Allegedly, the driver of the Porsche collided with a parked Toyota Camry, which eventually hit two additional vehicles.
30-year-old Gottmik, whose real name is Kade Gottlieb, serves as the Porsche's sole occupant. According to police, the driver 'displayed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication' and was arrested for DUI. He was released the next day on Thursday, Sept. 17.
Drag Race alum were quick to condemn Gottmik's arrest on social media. Season 18 contestant Briar Blush said, 'Economy so bad Gottmik didnāt wanna pay for an uber.'
Season 14 finalist Daya Betty also chimed in on X by asking the question, 'Girl you canāt afford a ride share?'
This isn't the first controversy for Gottmik in recent months. In January 2026, he faced backlash for attending and posing for photos at Marilyn Manson's birthday celebration alongside Violet Chachki.
Gottmik has never publicly apologized or released an official statement regarding these situations.
